WHO ARE THE ADULT SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS OF LOG?

IMG_5348aWarren and Elisa Takaya (Directors, 23 years at LOG): Members of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ventura, and LOG Directors. Warren is a math teacher at La Cumbre Junior High and Elisa is a preschool teacher at Sonshine Preschool. Both Warren and Elisa attended LOG when they were in high school, and their oldest of 3 daughters is currently on the leadership Team. At LOG Warren leads worship, and his favorite part of LOG is seeing the new Participants feel God’s welcoming love. Elisa takes care of administration, and her favorite part of LOG is everything! Both feel so blessed to be the LOG Directors.

ryanRyan Radujko (Spiritual Director, 2 years): Member at Free Methodist Church of Santa Barbara and a committed Team member during high school.  He recently became engaged to his fiancé Megan and will be married next summer! He is a student at Westmont College and works at Goleta Public Library. At LOG he helps mentor the students during the Sunday meetings. His favorite part of LOG is evening worship with all the Loggers during the retreat.

 

luLuAnn Miller (LOG MOM, 13 years): Member of Goleta Presbyterian Church and recently retired Executive Director of Isla Vista Youth Projects.  She is one of our LOG Moms who prepare all of the LOG meals and take care of the students during the weekend (see below).  She has 2 sons who are both former LOG student Co-Leaders. Her favorite part of LOG is sharing the energy, faith, and hope of the teens, and cooking for them.

Julie Roth (LOG MOM, 17 years): Member of Goleta Presbyterian Church and works for local software company QAD. She has 2 children (both former LOG Leaders), and 1 grandson. Her favorite part of LOG is seeing God’s love touch and change hearts of the LOG teens.

Donna Craig (LOG MOM, 10 years): Member at St. Raphael’s Church and retired from UCSB. She 2 has 2 children (1 a former LOG student Co-Leader) and 2 grandchildren.  Donna has been a LOG Mom for 10 years. Her favorite part of LOG is praying and dancing with the teens during the retreat.

 

 

IMG_4707Janet Votaw (LOG MOM, 10 years): Member of Goleta Presbyterian Church and a retired Systems Engineer from Raytheon.  She has 2 daughters (see Miranda below; other is a former LOG student Co-Leader). Her favorite part of LOG is all the love shared during the retreat.

 

 

 

Gish, Joanne_19

Joanne Gish (LOG MOM, 6 years): Member of St. Athanasius Orthodox Church and Assistant Director at the Westmont College Store and Mail Center. She has 3 children and 2 grandsons. Her favorite part of LOG is spending time with the teens.

 

 

 

Miranda Rodriguez (Facilities Director, 10 years): Member of Goleta Presbyterian Church and a committed Team member during high school.  Wears multiple IMG_5379hats at LOG, including tech support, organizing, set up and clean up, and generally doing whatever needs to be done.  Her favorite part of LOG is getting to know the teens and organizing our annual Rummage Sale.
